If you've stumbled upon my small slice of the internet then there is a good chance you either a) lost your sense of direction and ended up here by mistake (in which case the door is to the left and, please, enjoy a free doughnut and coffee before you leave) or b) you've followed this link because I posted it to one of the roleplaying forums that I am a member of currently. If the latter case is true, welcome and I hope that we get a chance to create a story together soon and, for those not interested and are just passing by to pass the time, that's cool, too, but don't eat all the doughnuts! I'll start off by telling you a little about myself.
My name is Catherine (though I'll answer to Cathy, as well) and I am thirty-one years old. I started roleplaying circa 1996 which means, yes, I have been creating characters and stories for around 18 years! While some would say that 18 years is a long time to be involved in something that mainly centers as an online activity, I think it's a very healthy, interesting, and terribly fun (and oftentimes stimulating) hobby. It's like stamp collecting or going to the golf course only licking and "playing the holes" is a lot more fun with this hobby! That aside, for years the only form of roleplaying I have actually participated in is what I would call live roleplaying on an html-based website where a group of people enter a room of a specific theme (e.g. Modern Day Realistic, Sci-fi, Fandom) and take turns making posts in a specific scene with hopes that they don't take too long and time out of the room.
Recently, though, I have been pulling away from that sort of venue and have been focusing on a forum-based, play-by-post style. There were many factors that prompted the switch. The first one is that the first website that I ever started roleplaying at has long been shut down. The second reason is the other website in question doesn't have much of a population anymore and I, craving variety, decided to go in search of a place that would suit me. So, if you like what you see contained with the pages of this site, please don't hesitate to contact me through email or, if you want to guarantee that I'll get your message, through the forum's private messaging service.
Thank you!
